One of the large trees on central campus was in the fullest inferno of autumn, and I just had to take a picture of it.
I was also very grateful that they didn't clean up the thick carpet of leaves under the trees... before they crumple up and get brown, I rather like seeing these little colorful hands laying all around the campus... Photo taken sometime in Mid-October 2008, on the UVM campus in Burlington, Vermont. EDIT: This work can also be seen HERE ([link]) on a desaturated background; paired with one of my favorite art techniques. As far as my favorite punctuation mark goes, I prefer the comma.
One year while I was up here, the leaves were literally green, green, green, then one day they turned yellow and then they were GONE! Thankfully, this was not so this year, so I wanted to share it with everyone!
Thanks again!

Again, Vermont is amazing for fall colors, when the weather cooperates!
Also; that had a little bit to do with the lighting I had to work with; it was a bit dark that day (really cloudy in the background) and that's the color that came out when I changed the exposure on my photo editor!

Is that to say that there's not one yellow or orange leaf on the tree out of the entire... 20,000? No, not at all :-p.
If I can find the original photo (currently trying to re-org all my photos from the last few years, plus my time abroad >.<

Eh, kind of orange, ish ish ish.... but not really compared to the other yellow trees behind it.
Meh, that's what happens when you change the exposure on things, :-p
Thanks for the compliments anyways!

and even i am having a tad bit of trouble with these exposure and colour settings ( pics look different on different screens
it would be great if u have any suggestions on this problem
thnx
What color looks perfect on your screen doesn't look at all good on someone else's, and this you can't change because every screen is different, of course. My only suggestion is to change the offsets of your pictures WITH other color changes...
If you're working with Photoshop CS2, this is under IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>EXPOSURE. You'll get three scrolling bars, one for the exposure, one for the offset, and one for gamma. If you move the offset scroll back abit (obviously depends on the picture) The color that you see, say, an orange, like in my picture, will not turn 'red' as in 'crimson' or blood red; but just... go deeper. I find that when you move the exposure scroll in one direction (say, +10), it will change the color of the picture; say red to orange; but in moving the offset scroll back (-10 this time) afterwards, you will come back to a more similar first red. Be careful though, these scrolls drastically change the brightness of your picture; so you might have to change the highlights (IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>SHADOW/HIGHLIGHTS) or the brightness/contrast levels (IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST)
Hope that helps and hope it made sense... Sorry if I talked down to you and explained things like a nag, but I'm not sure what program you're using, and would appreciate the patience necessary if I were using different tools too!
Good luck, let me know how it works out!
